A surprise proposal, Ponte Da Piedade, Lagos

Michelle first contacted me a few months ago with the idea of proposing to her girlfriend of 8 years, Tory, on their planned trip to Portugal. Of course, I'm an old romantic and jumped at the opportunity to document their special moment. After many emails, and overly excited/sneaky conversations on the phone, the date was finally set. We decided on Ponte Da Piedade in Lagos for the location - known for its towering clifftops and hidden grottos, it makes for a perrrrrfect backdrop. It rained for the whole 2 weeks before the day, but luckily for us, the rain stopped just at the right moment and we were left with a moody, dark sky - Perfect for photos! Tory had absolutely no idea that Michelle was planning on popping the question, and her reaction when she finally did it literally made me cry! These photos show the love that these 2 girls have for each other, and I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness together. I can't wait to see your wedding pictures!
